Who Do You Say That I Am?

I have updated the PREX Talk 2 material entitled "Who Do You Say That I Am" with a brief survey of the history of defections from the Church dating from apostolic times to around the 1970's. This brief history seeks to answer the question: "Why are there Christians who do not adhere to the supremacy of Peter?" The main answer is already given in the first letter of John: "They left us..." (1 John 2:19).

The first part of the material remains unchanged. It is a line-by-line commentary on the gospel of Matthew 16:13-20 taking into consideration what the more popular sects in the Philippines have said about it in their recent TV and radio confrontations.

The new version is attached to this article and can be downloaded as a PDF file. In order to open it, you must have installed in your computer the free Adobe Acrobat Reader which you can download for free from Adobe.

I am thinking of posting a Wiki version of the second part of this material for the sake of discussion and so that I can also gather ideas for a way of improving this brief history. (One of its current defects is that I didn't put a lot of dates. The material was written as a talk to ordinary laymen who would have found the dates cumbersome. References to dates are given by centuries.)
